Event & Meeting Spaces

Find the right space at the Chicago Advancement Center

We are always happy to host IU schools, departments, staff, and faculty in our offices.

When looking for space, you have three options:

  • Make use of the facilities in our office suite free of charge
  • Rent one of the two conference rooms on the second floor of our building
  • Book a room at The Standard Club using our membership

Event spaces

We can comfortably host events for up to 50 guests. Our open event space can accommodate multiple set up arrangements, depending on your needs.  The open event space features two 73-inch flat screen monitors with cable access and IU secure wireless internet for videos or presentations

  • Boardroom: Conference room tables can be moved and arranged into a rectangle to seat 12-15 guests
  • Classroom: Up to 50 chairs can be set up lecture style or tables can be configured to seat 24 guests with 26 additional chairs around the perimeter of the room
  • Reception: The room can host 50 guests for a standing reception or up to 40 guests for a seated event

There is no charge to rent our suite, but there are some items you may have to pay for:

  • HVAC for events occurring after hours
  • Table rentals
  • Catering

Work and meeting spaces

You can reserve the following facilities in our office: 

  • Private office with a door, large desk, telephone, and docking station
  • Conference room (with spectacular corner views) seating 12 comfortably; includes cable access, IU secure, wireless internet, video conferencing, 62-inch flat screen monitor, and two whiteboards

Our building offers two rentable rooms on the 2nd floor in the shared conference space. The rooms accommodate up to 12 in the small conference room and up to 55 guests in the training room. Rental rates range from $100 to $250. Depending upon room selected and rental time.

Reserve The Standard Club for larger events

If you need to host an event for more than 50 people, we can help you reserve a larger space at The Standard Club.

Located at 320 S. Plymouth Court, The Standard Club can accommodate groups of up to 600. Rental costs begin at $300 and catering starts at $1,800 per event.

There are additional charges for liquor, services, and tax.
